FAQ'S

All You Need To Know!

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET MY TAXES PREPARED?

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are only providing virtual tax preparing - It allows contactless filing. This process eliminates an in person visit while guaranteeing that you will meet filing IRS deadlines with accuracy.

WHAT MAKES A LEGITIMATE TAX PREPARER?

Never trust a prepare that charges a percentage of your refund. Check the preparer's qualifications on the IRS PTIN.

I MISSED THE TAX DEADLINE. CAN I STILL FILE MY TAXES?

YES. W.F.A strongly encourage you to contact us prior to the deadline so we can file an extension on your behalf. However, to avoid IRS penalties and interest please sit time aside for us to review your gross income to determine if you are required to file a return for that year.

IS A BIG REFUND A GOOD THING?

Not necessarily; a big refund tends to cause the IRS to review your credits and filing status.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AN ACCOUNTANT, A CPA, AND A BOOKKEEPER?

All CPA's are accountants. However, all accountants are not CPA's. A CPA is an individual who has met specific state and education licensing requirements and passed the CPA exam. An accountant helps minimize a company's tax burden to Uncle Sam and holds a Bachelor's in Accounting. Accountants and CPA's are responsible for preparing financial statements that gives management a big picture of the perspective. A bookkeeper reconcile a company's financial transaction for an accountant or CPA.

I HAVE CLOSED ACCOUNTS ON MY CREDIT REPORT. CAN YOU REMOVE THEM?

Every credit report is different. W.F.A. will communicate diligently with Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union to ensure removal of all closed accounts. Please book our Credit Restoration services for additional advice.
